speaker wire problems

The car in question is a clio 96 N reg, i am trying to fit 6x9s into the back. i have been told to connect the 6x9s to the rear speaker wires.

1. how do i do this ?

2. which of the rear speaker wires are positive and negitive the colours are purple and yellow (its like a stone colour yellow if that helps) ?

can any one shed some light on this subject plz

Yellow is probably the negative (its usually the lightest colour IIRC). Youll need to get some more speaker wire and extend the current wires using bullet connectors. Then attach these to your speakers.

If in doubt about teh polarities check on the speakers, on my 95 clio it sed which was = and which was - on the speakers
