+ & - speaker wires

I am currently replacing the door speakers but I am not sure which wire is positive and which is negative.

The drivers side has one red and the other grey/green, the passenger side I think one was red and one grey/yellowish. I would have thought the red would be positive but the red wires went into the negative on the speakers that were in there. Is this right or did the person who had the car before me wire them up wrong when he replaced the stock speakers?

Not sure which way round they go but i just got annoyed and wired them up and they seem to work fine just go for it lol

just make sure they are the same on each side and its reet

It will sound wrong if they are different between sides. Because 1 side will cancel the other in effect.

Oh well looks like i will just have to plug and play then and see what happens.
