Speaker Wiring

Just got my new componants, hertz DSK 130's however theyre not like the ones ive fitted before. Instead of a crossover that you connect the woofer & the tweeter too, But on these theres a small box that connects to each tweeter and each woofer. So im guessin that i plug a crossover into a tweeter, crossover into a woofer, then connect the wires after?

Sounds right.

If there's something like this, it looks like speaker output from stereo/amp into one pair of pins, then tweeter connects to another pair of pins and woofer to the final pair.

hertz dont have crossovers, they have inline filters-much easier than installing crossovers

basically cut the wire to the tweeter, attach the wiring for your new tweeter inline with the filter in place and then the same with the wooofer

Wow that sounds a whole lot easier than what i was goin to do lol thanks!! Well if i dont have to take the dash out to fit tweeters, would it be alright to just snip the wires for front speakers behind the HU and run them to the amp in the boot along with RCA's?

Yeh i was planning on upgrading the cable as i thought id have to take the dash/door cards off to fit the comps, but if there was another way of doing it i'd do over the moon lol. Well comps are 60 watts RMS, Ive got a Vibe amp that im using at the moment to power my sub (200 watts RMS Bridged) I was either going to use that for the comps and get a bigger amp for the sub as the sub is 400 watts rms, or keep sub and amp that i have atm and find a new amp for the componants

Ok mate, so it would be ok to just cut into the wire for frot speakers at the back of the head unit and send it to the amp? Also is 75 wats RMS too powerfull for the 60 watt comps, or would it be alright? Cheers for your help mate!
