As above, ive had all the silver interior parts sprayed so would idealy like the dial surrounds to match but how and can they be removed?

It's pretty easy mate you just undo the screws on the dash (2 either side and think there is 3/4 in the air vent by the bottom of the windscreen), undo the screws by the passenger dash strip and drivers dash strip and take the steering wheel cover off and you should be able to lift the dash up quite abit, just unscrew the 2 bolts on the bottom of the dials and then unclip the wires from the back.

I might be wrong, but you may have to take the dash top out. There's a guide in the guide section for how to do this.

When you've done that, just pop the dial unit out.

Here's a pic to help:

Haynes manual has quite a detailed guide if you could get your hands on a copy for a quick look.

Does it look complicated mate? I knownive seen someone who had them sprayed rb before so it isnpossibke, just wonder if its worth the effore and something i could do myself without becoming stuck

Guide is in the guides section funnily enough. The perspex bit is just clipped in around the edges, as is the dial surround, mind need something to give the surround a prod to get it to come lose from memory.

it's easy. I've done it a few times, you do have to either remove the top of the dashboard, or lift it right up out of the way as the speedo head is screwed in at the bottom and then sits in a "hinge" type slot at the top (you'll see when you remove it)Speedo comes apart really easily
