Speedo goin mad...

It's winter again do its time for the Clio play up lol,,, some times when driving along my speedo will just randomly go up to about 80 when I'm only doing 30-40mph, also when going along the car will accelerate n then kinda let of basically like just backing of the throttle when my foot hasn't moved, it doesn't do it under hard acceleration tho....
Any ideas ta!!

No suggestions I'm afraid but I'd advise it gets properly looked at before someone gets hurt! What if next time it doesn't "let off"?

Could be the gearbox Speedo sensor if it's a phase 1 or an early phase 2

I was wondering that m8 it's a 51 plate phase 2
