Speedo Sensor Fitting

I have been having problems with my speedo so I bought a sensor the other day and tried to fit it earlier, now a few people on here have said that its an easy job and can be done at home, and I have located the sensor, unclipped the wires but am unable to get the unit out of it housing, can anyone advise how to do it please? Thanks, Nathan

Theres two holes in the gearbox casing that the two tangs locate in. You will have too poke two small screwdrivers in there and pull. Its quite tricky.

easy if u know how, last time i did one was on a ramp and did it from underneath

i had it on ramp too, but found easier when on ground to get to it, how did you get it out tho? i'll hava look for the holes that shep was talking about and have another go

The white plastic collar holds it in, pinch in the sides and pull out the sensor.

There was a piece of metal in the way so i couldnt get my hand to the side where the tang things press into the housing? by any chance has it been put in the wrong way around? Could this be causing my speedo problems?
