Speedo signal wire

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Anybody know where the Speedo signal wire (Taco-signal) will be in a Clio 1.6 from 1999...........I might get GPS for my new Alpine media station as I miss it sometimes. Don´t know why I sold my Garmin......

Its from the gearbox.

Are you intending on using the gps as a speed source?

If so I think the speedo has to work off the wheels speed so it would be illegal but not 100% sure.

Year i know but thought the wire was by the iso socket or something easy. But I need it too get the navi-computer to work right, as I´ve heard most units will not be 100% accurate if you don´t wire it up.

Well I have done it, I have the Alpine N099 unit, ran it from the speedo in the end, on the red speedo stalk on use the far right hand purple cable. Feed into that, for some reason I couldnt get the ISO purple cable to work with it, even after testing. So try that, works a treat. To be honest im not too sure what Eddie is talking about as its totally legal.

Posted this a few times mate, dunno if you have some knowledge bank on the site somewhere as this would be useful to go on.
