Speedo

Been having some problems with my speedo for a while now, every now and again the speedo keeps dying. It's not at a certain point it's just random, more so sometimes than others.

Any ideas why?

May be a loose connection to the back? My mate has the same problem with his car, he's constantly doing 10mph.

Yeah I thought that. It's usualy between 0 - 60, but it will die for a while then come back on again, And then up and down constantly, well annoying.

Case of getting the dash out to check?

its the speedo sensor, most clios have this fault

Cheers guys I've been Reading a few other posts on this and some say speedo transductor and some say sensor, depending on model. Is mine the sensor then, seen as it's a cup? Or are they the same thing?
