Well i took my speedo out today to see if i could find a reason why my airbag light never came on, but by the looks of it, i dont have a bulb where the light is, but i have 1 above it for GPL whatever that is :S, so looks like i need new clocks to get the light to work, question is, is the mileage stored to the clock or the car ?

Was also a bad mistake taking it out as now nothin on it works

I have just told you i just need to find out how to put the light where the Airbag light should be as it looks like someone has taken it out before i owned it

Oh just that the airbag light / SERV light dont work at all, but took the speedo out today and found there isnt a light where the airbag light should be so i think someone has taken it out at some time, but i dont know what the problem is with the SERV light

Does anyone know where i can get a speedo changed to the right mileage as im looking to change my clock hoping it will make my rev counter work, and it may have less / more mileage than i have so would like to get my mileage put onto that clock, so was wondering if anyone know where i can get this done and roughly how much it would cost,

Im not sure that's possible, how many miles has your car done? I have clocks here that have done 98,000 if that's near to yours?

Mine has done just under 74,000 so that is ALOT of difference i dont mind a few thousand higher or lower as i can just remember the difference and when it comes to sell it, say it had changed clocks this is the mileage difference

Yeah, not much point having mine matey.

You checked the cable for the rev counter, or fuse maybe? Not 100% but the cable might have become loose.

This happened to mine, it was just a loose cable, it came loose after going over a speed bumb. Didnt take it out though :/

I checked the cable behind the speedo and there all tight secure, i dont know if there is a fuse ? if there is i actually dont know where that is also when you say cable for the rev counter do you mean the bundle of wires going into the speedo ?

I genuinely have no idea on this myself so I can't help on the fuse part of it.

Check bundle of wires and also the rev counter wire, sure a quick google/ask on here will find out what cable is the rev counter one.

I think behind the clock face itself the rev counter cable is also attached from the big bundle to the rev counter, maybe that is loose?

I pushed them all in so i dont think it would be lose, when you turn the ignition on you can see the rev counter needle like bounce a little bit and thats it and when you put the service thing on when all the needles dance it moves then so i dont get why it isnt moving when you rev the engine

Sounds like its loose on the other end of the connection then, the one that goes to the engine itself.

No idea where it goes in, someone should be able to answer it easy though

Oh so looks like a new speedo wont actually fix it then

So question to all of you does anyone know where the wire for the rev counter goes to the engine ? thanks

Speedo has been changed Airbag light and SERV light are back in life anyway now my rev counter STILL dosent work so that rules out my speedo being at fault, can anyone tell me where the speedo gets the feed for the revs ? like where the wires comes from and goes too

Checked the wires on the back again there all in there secure

Just got back from Renault apparently its either my Instrument Cluster which it isnt as 2 of them havent worked on mine or my cars computer which i doubt it is either because everything else on my car works ?

Also another thing to add, i have cleaned all the connectors i can see on top of the engine and still nothing
