Spilt milk on interior carpet....!

A carton of milk spilled on the carpet of my mums C1, any ideas whats the best stuff to use to stop it from smelling/turning to cheese in six months?

SRSLY, this machine (I don't know what they are called) and the cat piss remover stuff from Pets@home will work (might need a couple of goes). Then just carpet shampoo it and it will smell like new.

take seats out and rip carpet out and use a rug doctor machine on it. we hire them out at somerfield but iv seen them in B&Q also (by the tills). Trust me they suck all the sh!te outta carpets.. after you've done that a few times fabreeze it and you'll be sorted.
