SplitFire Spark Plugs has any1 tried em???

Hi, I was told by a mate who's modded loads of cars that he added Splitfire plugs into his Audi A4 and Astra GSI and he gained approx 4BHP. I need to replace mine and have read on here that the Bosch are good. Has anyone on here tried Splitfires??

My car is a 1.4 16v not a 172/182 so I doubt the plugs currently in mine are that great.

Any comments are good!

denso iridium plugs will do the trick, splitfire are over rated and expensive imo the standard NGK plugs will be fine, plugs wont gain you that much power esp with the renault coil on plug crap

Splitfire = bin fodder.

Use stock non fancy NGK's.

had splitfires in my 5gtt had to take them out as at higher revs car would misfire. put in the standard plugs and all was back to normal

I tried Splitfire..... threw them out as it made mine miss-fire. Put Bosch Super 4's in, not overly impressed with the drive, then stuck NGK recommended plugs in.... GREAT!

NGK for the win.

Jim, just stuck some super 4's into mine and i'm not impressed either tbh it actually seems a bit slower.

Might put the old ngk's back in.

Plugs a plug. Just make sure you get the rite temp Rate

NGK's it probably is then, My car is being a b*****d to start the last few mornings when the weather was slightly warmer. Got a service with my mechanic 30th May, might ask what he recommends or if he can get hold of the NGK's. Anyone got any idea on price???

NGK's fpr your car are about £3 each from a factors ren charge about £30 for 4 !
