sport inter in a non sport.... airbag light

  M135i
Since putting the sport seats in my non sport then air bag light wont go offf, i took it to a mate at a garage to take the light off but he said it just keeps comin back on because you cant connect the wires up under the passenger seat. He said an auto-electriction might be able to wire it up correctly but sounds alot of effort and money... whats everybody else done ?

I done mine few weeks back, only problem I had was some clip broke which caused the air bag light to go on but I managed to swap them over at a scrap yard. What wires haven't you connected up? The air bag one slides into the big clip under the seat and then I just cut the other wires and with electrician tape I taped the wires firmly together with the existing wires that are from the car. Ain't had a problem since.

I have exactly the same problem, the clips that are wired to the non-sport cars are different from those in sports, therefore when you fit the sport interior only 1 of the wires cannot connect, leaving 2 hanging....

look at old seats see where wires go and which connector.. then just bodge the sport seats to suit :D

bodging is the right advice here lol! my sport seats have loads of wires, probably from having side airbags my standard little clio doesn't. just cut all the connectors which didn't fit, soldered up the pretensioners, heat shrink wrap and electrical tape, all was fine! left the airbag cables hanging.
