Sport Steering Wheel on a Non-Sport

I'm looking at buying a 1*2 wheel to put on my DCi since mine has terrible melting etc.

If i was to buy a wheel with cruise control, am I able to remove the buttons so my current airbag will fit?

If you don't want the buttons then you could sell them to someone who wants to retrofit CC to their 172...
