Spraying door handles silver

wish i could get my 172 cards INTO my car!! lol bastiels wont fit in as the electric window wire dosnt reach

You just have to extend the wires mate by about 4 inches or so, it aint tricky

lol yeah gave them a good clean

i wonder if theres a product you can buy just to remove the lacquer as it looks like the lacquer is peeling off

Na probably gonn ahve to sand it off. The peeling is why everyone replaces them, cant believe they added £60 to their cost from the dealers

Just a decent amount of wire and some connecters mate.

its best to get some handles that havent been coated in the crappy rubber laquer that Renault used.

I have a set out of a basic clio here which are just black plastic, so much easier to spray.

kind off, going to sort out some sand paper, get some plastic primer and paint then experiment i guess, any more tips??

just make sure you get all that rubbery crap off before you even go near it with plastic primer. should be fine

yeah lol, i put a bit of methylated spirit on it and some of the rubbery stuff came off leaving the nice finish underneath but its going to take a whole day to get it off lol

As mine look a bit rubbish, not up to my standards at all. I fancy spraying mine, if they don't come out right i'll buy some. How much are they new each side ?

Damm, i'd have bought them. Any ideas how much they are each side ?

Is it only mk1 172's & mk1 vee's which have them in silver (I cant be asked to look at my dads mk2 172 to see what he's got)
