Spraying Lowering springs

  Mk5 golf gti
i received some eibach springs today off someone on here in awful condition
i want to take some of the rust off and respray them in red

what paint should i use that wont crack too quickly? hammerite

or is standard halfors rattle can spray ok??

thanks in advance

First of all your want to strip all the old paint and the rust and get rid of all grease / oil etc.
Primer, paint, lots of laquer & hope it doesn't crack.

  a low one
Id probably say hammerite mate? very durable paint isnt it and can be applied to metal with no prep work. Thats what id use anyway, afterall there springs and not really on full view

its only to smarten them up for now, i did say id remove rust etc first

if i use something like hammerite sureley it wouldnt need primer and laquer?? or do i

dont mind doing it, but im looking to tidy them up as i know eventually they will crack/peel
