Ive done this to my black clio too! what colour are you going?
Basically the front one just pulls out. The rear is a little bit more difficult, you need to take the plastic bit off the inside of the rear tail gate off so there is 1 screw on the right hand side as your looking into the boot, undo this and then the rest of the plastic bit just pulls off! Did mine a while ago and from what i can remember, there are 3 10mm bolts that you need to undo and then basically the whole handle can be removed from the outside! I actually snapped one of the wee clips on the rear diamond because i was trying to get it off the handle but it turns out that it was glued on from the inside, if yours is glued on too you might need to just masking tape around the diamond before spraying!
With regards to actually painting, I gave mine a really good sanding down with 800, 1000 and 1200 grade sand paper, then 3 coats of grey primer, 3 coats of gloss black paint, then 2 coats of laquer and they turned out really good. Really happy with them!
Not sure about how to do the bullets though? Maybe they just pop off, i havent tried though!
Hope that sents you on your way mate PM me if you have any troubles
thanks man, going for white along with the bullets. think it looks qual. thing is i might have to get the bullets done by a sprayer as i want the 16v writing black which i imagine is difficult, i been trying t get some diamonds and bullets from breakers t give it a go, thanks again
Dont know if this would work but you could just spray the bullets all white and then hand paint the 16V bit, so like sand it down and then use a paint brush to prime it, paint it and laquer it. Might be abit tedious though.... might aswell take it to a sprayer save you the hassle, cant imagine it would be much!
ooh, post pics of your progress, im looking at doing my badges white, the best way to remove the bullets is to remove the side strips; try and get your hand under, lift it off gently with a screwdriver first to help get your hand under, protect the paint with a cloth or something lol.... then once your hands under pull firmly out and towards the rear of the car... mask around the lettering and touch up with a halfords colour pen, tis what ima do
i havent touched it up yet, this is with a couple of coats of colour and a few coats of lacquer hope all goes well with yours
It's easy (unless a previous owner has glued it in),
lever it off with a flat head screwdriver by working you way round every side,
you're basically trying to get it out without snapping the 3 pins it's held in by.
