Spring Compression

  Clio Mk2 Phase 1
I am planning on fitting some front lowering springs to my car, But i have one problem, I do not have a spring clamp, Do i need one? Or can i simply undo the strut top and raise the car to release the spring? And drop the hub ect also?

you DO need them if its a normal clio (ie not a 172/182)

if you do it the way yo describe the shock will rip the CV gaitor in half

DMS

  A thirsty 172
They're only about £15 in Halfrauds too. I brought mine from there because I couldn't be arsed to wait for a set and they're very good quality.
