Spring Overhaul Part 1! *FRP Content*

Detailing is so sh1t. (but I can appreciate the amount of effort you are putting into keeping it tidy)

anyway.. I hear brilliant things about these little motors, can you describe it in a single sentence for me as an all round owners exp?

How many throttle maps does this car have?
2, on and off.

Extreme mode is driving it with no pants on.

such a lovely looking car, great work gally.
Thanks for reading mate.

Got a lot of time for this! FLOL at the Door catches, absolutely brilliant work! Looking forward to part 2

FRP's look awesome tbh - would love one someday; not as a daily - just to keep in the garage. I have to confess to photoshopping one lowered a fair amount, and it looked like a genuine supercar. Mmmmmmm.
It would look immense lowered I totally admit that, sadly it would drive like crap. As mentioned in my last thread, there is a hub adaptor kit that lets you fit puma coilovers to the FRP. It's proven that no matter what set you put on OE is far better suited to the car.

Is it number 425?
467/500 mate.

That's a hard one mate. I doubt I could to be honest, if you're ever up my way you're more than welcome to take it a blast and see what all the fuss is about.

A little comment that people might say is ridiculous. So flat, tight, poised, precise in the corners you would think you were driving a car 3 times it's value.

It just saddens me a bit that a lot of people have never driven one so they can only think "It's only a Puma, surely it can't be that different, that good?"

As you'll notice in this thread there is no one to really back up my statements which makes me sound like an utter fanboi.

or grow man hands !

My hands are tiny, akes my Peni look massive!

Looking very nice Gally! Clean as foooooook!
Seen my first one of these in the flesh the other day.

Look very evil

Lovely. Really good work there gally. I'm impressed!

Thanks boys!

Nickson, they are a rare sight so it kinda catches your eye when one does go past.

The first one I ever seen was the one I bought, the only other one I know of in Scotland is Justin's neighbour (Aberdeen). It's a garage queen.

Don't doubt that in the slightest! Shame really.
How much does the body work differ from a standard puma? The arches look quite a bit bigger..

What is it like to run Kevin? Tax/mpg/insurance wise?

Not bad imo mate, tax is £112 for 6 months same as my last puma, MPG tricky one.
I still get around 150 miles for £20 not sure how much that equates to but it's decent and I live 3 minutes from my work, short journeys obviously don't help.

Wait until he starts to try and polish out the cut and shut welding!

Lols after seeing what Tickford done to it, it's definitely a cut and shut!!!

There is a massive list of different things that was changed, it's a millions miles from a standard Puma imo. The front wings are much wider and made from Aluminium, rear arches again wider and made from simple steel. Different bumpers front and back.

Track increased by 58mm compared with standard, interior apart from the dash is totally different, be-spoke suspension by Eibach/Sachs.
A lot of R&D and money was spent on it, that's the reason it was 23k new.

Tickford owners club has good history information and galleries, Tickford seem to now be in Milton keynes taking on small projects unlike what they did in Daventry.

@ Matt, possibly FF and Combe. The rest I'm not too fussed about, travelling is always a nightmare being from up here!

Jd, for how long mate? Not forever surely! :( Or just until the roof goes on?

Some of this is a bit O.T.T for me and I like a spot of detailing!

How much quicker are they than the normal Puma? I know asking that question kinda misses the point but do forgive me :)

Think top speed is roughly 10mph extra 136 top end iirc and 160bhp opposed to 125 standard mate. :)

Top end means little in the FRP imo. It means even less when you drive like I do.
