Looks nice mate, i did thing about getting a FRP before i got my trophy, very similar philosophy, how many miles has it done?

Totally mate, I only looked at a couple of Trophy's on PH after I saved the money, not knowing which way I was going to swing. Overall the Trophy is the better car no doubt, especially with it being younger.

It's on 100k now. Going in for a front bumper paint next week just to freshen it up and might get some more done at my work if I fancy it. Has a lot of orginal paint on it so didn't want to go painting the whole car if it's not desperate.

Looks tidy kiltlifter.

Cheers, Si. Means a lot mate.

Looks fantastic mate and at 100k I'm very impressed!

Can't wait until may to get mine done! :)
Cheers mate, hopefully you'll enjoy the next write up just as much! :)

Awesome motor. Nice work fella! :approve:

I'd love access to a car lift!!

Thanks mate, having a garage to work in makes things so much easier to be fair, i'm lucky in that sense. :)

Stunning cars!

Am I right in thinking that you need the front brakes servicing yearly due to no dust seals on the calipers and also get the disks skimmed?

Thanks dude, will have the bumper and bonnet resprayed before it's detail. Just me being fussy.

Every 18 months to 2 years yeah mate, no dust "boots". Worth it for the 4 pot stpping power though. Really are stunning brakes. We (the owners) run Porsche 924 pads with an alcon shim. :)

Were the LSD gearboxes random or was there certain Phase's of Puma's that received them?

80 were optioned with them mate, I think they sold very very little number at 23k 90% were given to Ford management. They were only £250 and that was the only option on the whole car, still surprising to the owners now that more people didn't spec it but I suppose there were that little orders that it was Ford's decision in the end.

My Dad's boss' daughter at the time got the first one in Scotland when he used to run Bathgate Peoples. His ex boss now runs Peoples in Edinburgh.

Couple of articles mate, dave sent me one of them and I found the other one a while back... Zoom in to read the first pic. :)

Paintowrk detail mostly, Ali. Claying ect... 1 stage polish, cleanse, glaze ect.. full works. And some new parts to be added, new grilles, badges, door strikers. Headlight re-furb.

Will also included pictures of a bumper re-paint and possibly a bonnet re-paint. Haven't decided if i'm doing the bonnet yet.

Still interested in these. There just isn't enough punch for me and the cornering ability in London would mean fack all.

Exactly. Buy an Aygo.

You need to drive one before commenting on the pace of it.

I wouldn't turn up to a polo event with the olde' FRP popping and crackling away in the car park.

What are the figures? 0-60, 0-100?

Are they that limp in a straight line?

7.7 seconds to 60 mate.

Not sure on the 0-100 can't imagine it will be any good though.

8s to sixty, just looked. I thought they were 182 pace!

I guess it's not the point though, like with the MX5.

Mines has done 100k mate yes. I looked at on on 75 before buying this and it was an utter dog.

Looking at the reciepts I have for the car I know I picked the right one, mileage is irrelevant if you know the history.

Turner it's more even about the experience of driving it, straight line speed is something i've never really been into I guess that's why I don't enjoy turbo'd cars. The Mk1 FRS I drove for a few days did very little for me.

Another funny fact these were selling for £5-6k in 2004, still the same price on PH today.

Aye, I know what you mean from driving my Dad's MX5.

I just thought they were 182 pace, that's all.

Also agreed on mileage. I'd take a fully-documented, mint 100k car over a doggy 60k miler any day.

I agree as I looked yesterday during our emails. Interestingly the S3s are doing the same which makes me feel a little easier about spending the money I have on getting it right, suspension wise.

Thing is now, speed is great but I think more noise is required. I just need to consult Gopher every time I buy a car!!

A DC5 would suit JD perfectly. It's on my list to own. Whatever I move to it'll be sub 10k. Also the mini GP and fire the back seats back in it. I heart those little things.

What are the 182 pace wise Tiny Turner?

Jeez those little tin cans are quick, think they weigh a little less than the FRP aswell. The FRP is 11 years old and the engine itself is even older.

I can imagine what they would extract from a modern version.

The car doesn't feel slow to me but i'm lucky to have decent roads where I stay so straight line speed really means nothing to me.

Should have bought and old M3. FML. :(

When's Part 2?

Arent sure if serial.

Can you honestly see me driving a Teg Gopher you nutter! Lol!

I can't.

Looking forward to seeing this in the summer Gally mate.

Fair play @ 100k! A clio on 100k would resemble a rat car with no effort put into it!

Haha! Thanks Ali, wasn't sure if you meant it was a good thing. I know how you feel about high mileage cars.

Thanks mate.

Would be a creacking buy from your missus to be honest. I'm sure you'd love the thing and the insurance wouldn't be as much of a killer, ie 1*2 prices so maybe something to think about.

New top and bottom front grille and front and rear Ford badges should be here today, need to get them sealed up over the weekend. :)
