Springs?

Im lowering my car 60mm front and back, iv been advised that all i should need is new shorter springs, although looking at alot of the other threads on here there has been alot of talk of more expensive coilovers etc. will new springs do the job? bearing in mind all i want is to lower my car 60mm.

60mm is quite a drop, and will wear your shocks out much quicker.

The answer to your question is yes, that's all you need... but also consider upgrading your dampers to match. Koni adjustables are rated highly.
