Squeak on start up?

Any ideas? Only on start up fine once on the move. Had the Aux belt done so its not that. Its a 172 Cup by the way.

Maybe the belt is loose. Spray with wd i think.

Even after a brand new one?

is it as soon as you turn the key ( quick squeak and then its fine) if so the belt might be slightly loose, give it a tighten it should stop

Yes maybe. I have changed belts and the ave come loose

yeah very true! mine was loose after its major service had to tighten it up

lol will set a trap at same time as WD40

there is an adjuster nut at the top of the alternator, ive never done that as mine is missing i have to manually do it
