My drivers side panel squeaks like hell! Has anybody else had this and if so what solutions are there/did you do to stop it as its really annoying. My passenger side is fine, it's the drivers side that squeaks.

Any help/info would be appreciated :)

Thanks, Mark.

Mine does exactly the same! I thought I was the only one!

I've pulled the bottom bit out with the little oval on so it overlaps the plastic below it. Seems to quieten is a bit but not 100%.

I'll keep my eye on this thread.

Well I bought another one off here (pictured) and it still does it! I popped it off and stuck blutack on parts that I think it's rubbing against bit with no luck!!

I thought it was just mine haaaaa!

I may have a go with some cotton wool or similar :)

Does this trim just pop off if you pull it straight?

Mate, mine has done this for the past 20K!

If you are driving along and it squeaks I find you can stop it by pulling slightly away from the window/door. My solution is going to be to wedge something in the gap between the "L" and the top of the door card. Trying to find an appropriate sized piece of plastic in the garage! I also took mine apart refixed, even stuffed a sponge between it and the door frame and no joy!

It's bloody annoying though, I feel your pain!

If it's squeaking, it is because it's [too many it's's :S] rubbing against something else.

Isolate the noise.. foam tape.. job done... probably !

Cheered guys! :)

I'll nick some off the other half later on. Where abouts do I put it or do I just stuff it everywhere behind the panel as I'm not sure where abouts it's rubbing.

I just stuffed it wherever because I couldnt figure out which part was making the noise.

Cheers rob :) (and guys for the responses)

Ill give the cotton wool a go and if that doesn't work and I'm down your neck of the woods I'll chat you up for some :)

Just buy some sticky foam pads, double-sided ones will work (just don't remove the backing from one side), that's a better solution than using cotton wool!

Well I've stuffed cotton wool in the back of the strip and its still rubbing on something and im not sure where

Where can I purchase the sticky foam mentioned above from?

Is it sticky double sided rob?

I still have my existing poppers on the door and strip so didn't know if it needs to be stuck on both or one or the other.

Well I tried the wool trick as mentioned above but it was still doing it. After a while I realised what it was.....

Turned out to be the top of the door panel as the top corner popper was loose

Popped it in and no more squeaking :)

Glad I saw this thread, my passenger side has had an annoying squeak for ages. Hard to find yourself when driving but I reckon its this, will give it a go.

Okay, so I just went outside and had a look.

Popped the top piece of plastic off and it's connected my 3 poppers. I lined the inside edges with a tiny bit of felt and slotted it back into the bottom part. It seems to have worked so far :)

I think it was the plastic rubbing against the metal making the squeezing noise.
