Squeaky seat

Drivers side seat just started squeaking. From previous experience, it'll only get worse once it's started. It's not the mechanism, it's more like the springs or something. I've tried WD40ing what I can see, but I have just ended up gassing myself !

Does anyone have any old wives home remedies for curing this ?

Check that its not the seatbelt in the 'thingy'!!! Mine squeks so much over slower roads, push it down and its ok but really need to fix it properly.
