Squeeking from left front wheel unless im turning left

what could this be?

my dad reckons it might be the brake shoes or the pads need replacing? can anyone shed some light plz

and it also stops if im braking

seems it could be that your pads are low or the calipers are binding to the disc.

TBH, best to get it looked at a garage, unless your handy with brakes and sucj...
