Squeeky Gearstick

Just a wee annoying one today. My gearstick started to get a bit squeeky when changing recently and the last few days it has gotten louder. Coming from just below the gaitor. Am I able to spray WD40 down there or is thre a particular type of grease I should use?

May need the gear linkage greased, Jack the car up and use axel stands so it dont drop on your head, Check if its greased or not, If its dry grease it

Mine does this a few times, i lift up the gaiter, and spray a load of WD40, it works a treat.
