Squeeky steering wheel

  1.8 Civic EX
It sounds as tho it is litereally just behind the steering wheel. every time i turn it, it lets out a little squeek. only does it just as I move it off centre. It's real bad when hitting hirgher speeds 60-70mph as the vibrations through the wheels is just enough to move it to make it squeek so it's non stop!! bloody annoying!! any ideas what it might be?

It's on a ph2 valver by the way...cheers

I imagine its the joint under the column. If you lie on your back in the foot well and spray some WD40 into the joint it should sort it... it did on mine anyway

Make sure you take the steering lock off when you spray the WD40 that way you can move the joint and allow the WD to work in properly as you spray

do as Rich 16v said, sorted mine straight away....

it's right at the bottom of the column just where you see it dissapear through the bottom of the foot well...just spray and wiggle for a while and it'll be fine...
