Squeeky Wipers

Hi All,

I have had my '03 Cup for a year now and ever since I got it, it has had really annoying squeeky wipers. A few months back I tried to rectify th problem by lubricating the mechanism at the base of the drivers side wiper but no joy.

I have since realised that the squeeking cannot be heard from outside the car, only inside. I have come to the conclusion that is bad news and means that sorting it will be a much bigger job now.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where they will be squeeking from? Is it behind the dashboard? Where can the motor be found?

When I had my clio, the wipers squeaked like mad.

Take the scuttle panel off and look at the underside of the metal part, sort of underneath the windscreen.

The will probably be a stud sticking out, mine were rubbing on that. Just grind it off.
