Squib - Ribbon wire

I've managed to mangle my ribbon wire underneath the steering wheel (long story involving gearbox change lol).....

I felt the steering was a bit heavier after the change, maybe my imagination so just went with it.

Cut a long story short, airbag light kept coming on and no amount of under the seat fiddling solved it....then today randomly on 3/4 lock it went REALLY tight, potentially very dangerous so off came the wheel again.
Ah yes, the ribbon wire has broken off at the little squib ring thing (not squid ring ) and is all twisted and mangled.

I thought I'd need a whole new unit but turns out the ribbon wire unplugs (see pic)

So all I need is the ring with airbag wires on and the attatched ribbon wire yes?

If its that mangled I would get a new one as its not going to work quite the same again and you will probably find you have to pop it off every 5 minutes. Only comes as a complete unit anyway iirc

It's not destroyed but I can't see any way to join it back on anyway. And parts of it are twisted and squashed etc

Do you know if other model clios have the same setup? A scrapyard job won't need to be a complete unit
