Awaits the haters to come along ;)

Not the easyist product to use, but is damn durable. Works well when mastered.

For me these days the likes of Jeffs Acyrlic Jett Trigger can do the same thing in a spray and wipe format and save me some effort.

Its ok, but doesn't leave the nicest finish and takes ages to use as you have to leave it to cure, and difficultt to see where you have used it.

There are better out there...

Dunno, i've got both and somedays i prefer the Acrylic and sometimes the Blitz... Blitz seems to work better on a day to day basis. I find the Acrylic really works well apply'd to a freshly glazed surface.

I use the Blitz more as a top-up than a dedicated sealant, its caranuba based so works well with caranuba waxes but the Jeffs acrylic definitely bonds to the SRP better and is more durable. The Blitz finish is better on dark cars than the Jeffs though and is even easier to use. Both good products though. Think I might try the Jeffs caranuba sealant next time, is that good those who have used it, any comments compared to the acrylic?

looks better and has same durability apparently, i havent washed my car for the last 2500 miles and washed it yesterday and it was still sheeting well

The carnuba based one seems ideal for the solid colours, on Metallics I stick to the acyrllic and top with carnuba if desired.

Cool thanks guys, might treat myself to both though next time I order from there just to satisfy my curiosity!

I think for the money EGP does a good job, it's just the curing time which makes layering a bit of a pain. But I think for looks and performance when it's on it is a very good product.

I have and continue to tell people about SRP, when they are used to using T-Cut etc they really aint going to go to the trouble of finding an online retailer so I tell them to side step that stuff and pick up the AG range next time they are in Halfords.

Of the shelf it is the best sealant out their, problem being it's ease of use and time taken when compared to the likes of the Jeffs.

i normaly use srp on it own an buff it off when it clouds over ive been more then happy with the results but im curious if i use egp on top what will that do will my beading be better it takes long enough with one coat can i wash my car polish it with srp then wash it in a months time an polish it with egp or is it better with two coats at once

SRP on its own will offer protection, so you should top it with 2 coats of EGP. This combination will serve you well for at least a few months. It will also improve beading, but bear in mind this is not an indication of how well paint is protected.

When using SRP you should not be using so much product so that it hazes on the surface; you need to work it until there is nothing left to remove.

Also you should polish with SRP and then do the 2 coats of EGP straight after, not wait a week.

Daydotz ^^ I would take a few hours to do it in one day if I were you and put the fist coat of egp over the srp. Ideally leave 12 hrs between coats of egp.

SRP is a polish with filllers EGP is a sealant and then you ideally want to top off with a wax, I use Collinite because it looks good and is bomb proof in bad weather. If you re-apply the SRP after using EGP it'll only strip the sealant off again.

I last used srp, egp x2 and collinite 476s x2 almost 3 months ago on my partners car and it still beads. No top up of wax, just washed every week or two with ag shampoo. It does well over 300 miles a week too.

Thats the one, EGP is really really really s**t.

Agreed! ;)

Seriously though its ok, just not a very fun product to use and I don't really like the finish it leaves on darker metallic cars. Yes its glossy but it looks a little faded or subdued. Still good for wheels and lighter colour cars though, especially white and silver.

Imo the jeffs still leaves a better looking finish than EGP does on my silver motor

But its good to get the first sealant coat of EGP then layer jeffs over the top work well for me

Not noticed any real differences looks wise between EGP and Jeffs on Silver or Black here.
