Stained Bird Droppings!! :@

I had some bird droppings from a very unhealthy bird on my bonnet for a few days and they have stained the colour, iv tried compound and a machine polisher and its still there! Has any one got any advice what products i could use. Thanks

You can Fill it with polishes and waxes to hide it but chances are it's eaten into the lacquer. It's so acidic it literally eats its way into it.

If you've got big nuts, flat it back with some 1200/1400 wet and dry and then machine polish it back up.

2000 / 2500 grit then try machine polishing if you want to wet sand it. I'd personally leave it be and just try and make it look less obvious

It's what I was taught with. Never had an issue with it personally...

This came to me with proper bad car wash damage. Never seen anything like it. I had to do the whole car.

I used 1200 with lots of soapy water, G3, follwed by Autofinesse (Revitalise?) followed by P1.

Oh fair dose that is a mint job!! Cheers for the comments guys i think ill give it my best shot with the g3 to start, if no progress ill try the wet and dry, i suppose it needs a respray anyway, if i can do it my self even better! Thanks!

2000 wet should be fine. I did mine grow some balls mate its easy. It takes 5 mins if that.

And of course, you'll grow some balls and pay up if the OP damages his paint with too much wet sanding?

Get someone close by with a machine polisher. Wet and dry isn't needed for bird etchings.

As above, I managed to remove some pretty nasty bird etching using just polish.

If you was going to use wet&dry though I'd use 3000 grit.

1500 etc might work well but it'll remove a fair amount of lacquer in a short time.
