stalk controls adaptor - help!

I've just bought the below adaptor to allow me to connect my stalk controls to my new pioneer head unit but now that I've connected it the stalk controls still aren't working.

I've connected the patch lead but can't work out where the 3 red connectors go. Can someone shed some light on this please? I'm fairly useless when it comes to car audio/wiring!

This is how I have it set up.

At the dash end I have the black, white and small yellow connectors all plugged in. The dash display is showing 'renault' but the stalk controls still aren't working.

Sorted! I took it all out and connected it all in a different order, starting with the patch lead on the head unit and working my way towards the dash.
No idea why it works like that.
