Stalling at idle

Hey

Hoping someone can lend a hand here.

If im sat at traffic lights or something, my car will stall at idle and not start again for about 30 seconds. It'll turn over but not fire, then all of a sudden it'll go again and everything will be merry.

It doesn't happen very ofter but its very annoying when there's a line of traffic behind me!

Any idea's?

Take it back to renault if it's under warrenty.

Good luck trying to get it fixed though - ive had mine in and out the garage and they claim there is nothing wrong with it

I had the same problem with my 1.2 from new - everytime I take it into the garage they do something that solves it for 6 months then it starts up again.

Now the car is outwith its warranty but I kicked up such a fuss they continued to fix it as I have maintained the car has never worked right form new.

All it seems to take to fix it is clearing any faults logged in the computer.
