Standard 182 head unit

Car  182 - Now Cooper S
Hi all. recenly got myself a 182 cup, love it to bits and im really happy with the sound quality of the speakers, except they are lacking bass. I have two 12" subs that used to be in my VTR that i want to put into my clio to give a tasty kick. I dont want to change the head unit though as i have had all the problems with cars getting broken into etc and definatly dont want this again!! can the std head unit have a sub?? i.e does it have a "remote cable" to tell the sub when it is and isnt needed. just to avoid confusion here is a pic of the head unit i have on ebay....

if someone can please help me out here i would much apreciate it.
Thanks

Standard headunit doesn't have any RCA to connect to the amp, this can be overcome. But best to change the headunit.

Get a headunit with a removeable face.

IMO i'd only put one 12" sub in boot as 2 maybe OTT.

cheers for the reply...how do i overcome the fact that it doesnt have the remote cable? i had a removeable face in my old car but because alot of ppl leave the face under the seat or in the g.box they still get broken into. a standard head unit is very unapealing?

You may just have to use the ignition wire, which is only live when the ignition is turned on.

I had 2 12" in my megane. I have standard set-up now, which makes me sad. :(

Mos Def & Massive Attack - I Against I

Now that sounded goooooooooooooooooooooood on my old stereo. I doubt the standard set-up would even reproduce the bass :(

Hi, I am trying to do the same thing. Run an active sub from the standard head unit. How do I do this exactly? I've read the previous posts but am still unsure. Thanks!!
