standard ariel removal..

How do get it off?!
tried unscrewing it but it wont budge! tryed using pliers with wd40 but it wont budge still n now the base is moving about alot!

any tips?

They just screw in. Hold the base & try & undo the ariel.

urgh tryed no luck, just guna get a hacksaw and chop it in half
