Standard CD player in 53 plate dynamique

evry now and again the stereo will just turn itself off and not come back on again for ages. It has happened before and it came on again about 4 hours later. This time round it happened yesterday morning and is still not working now. the display still works, show ing the temp and the time. any help?

Loose connection?! possibly the ignition live wire might be a good one to start with.

jus bin 2 reno, duno wot it is but theyre puttin a new cd player in on fri, im gettin an Alpine HU afta xmas neway, didnt tell them that tho! obviously!
