Standard heaunit AUX input?

I have a '53 clio 172 with a standard headunit and was told i can plug a lead to connect my iphone, but flicking throught the souces on my headunit there is no aux? Will this option appear after i connect the lead or is it a different style of unit?
any help would be greatly apprechiated...
