Standard HU in Clio.

I will be getting my New Clio soon , and I was interested to find out if the standard headunit in a clio will play mp3? and is it any good?

If not I think I will buy a new headunit (I have also gone for the DIGI pack option)

hi there, same situation as you, got digi pack and i am waiting for my car too.

It doesnt play mp3s, but you can buy a CD changer that does play mp3s, so save messing around with the orginal head unit, which has its own display and stalk.

The Sony CDXT70MX is the mp3 cd changer you want, you will also need a adapter as well.

That is the set, the mp3 changer and the adapter, all we need to know is the make and model of the standard HU before we purchase it, as there are 2 different adapters, one for philips brand of standard HU and one for tunerlist brand.



Anyone help in answering the question of which model is in the modern clios with the digi pack??

Cheers Mate . I am a little p***edoff though . Why after paying so much 4 the Digi pack cant they at least put a mp3 in the standard headunit.

standard audio is w**k mate. i picked up my clio yesterday and it is booked in today to have new head unit, uprated front speakers, 6x9 in parcel shelf and amp/sub fitted today, less than a day afteri got it. you would think they could put a better head unit and speaker in, esp for 172 etc. is the standard stuff in v6 equally as sh*t or have they made an effort to justify the £27k???

The Digi Pack is a option with new clios (from 1.2 - 1.6) which contain: Climate Control, Electric Sunroof, 4 x 40w single CD RDS radio with 6 speakers and fingertip remote control, Under seat mounted 6 CD Muitchanger & Upgraded Speakers.

Costing £1000 extra

All this & they cant even fit mp3 in .

mate thats a total ripoff 1)u dont need an electric sunroof unless ya a compleet lazy b*****d 2) sod climate control u got a sumroof and 2 windows that go down and the rest of the CRAP they give ya is worth about £250 soz mate but youve been ass raped IMO u should always look round at prices first and if u realy needed an electric sunroof u coulda got the kit off a scrappy and u could af done the same with climate controll

im guessing that the head unit and speakers are worth around £100 IF THAT. speakers maybe upgraded but they still wont be anything special.

also if u get a new headunit, i dont think you can use your cd changer.
