Since I got the car a few months a ago, 1998 Mk1 1.4 Sport Ive always had to hold the key right upto the window for the Remote Central Locking to work!



Anybody else get this or can you stand in a full car park, press the key and find your car!?

Well probably not related but my 172 has always been like that.. try holding the keyfob to the side of your head.. seriously.. it works..

Sounds like the battery in the key faulty or the key itself. It should work from quite a distance.

Yeah most likely just its done it for a while, althought seems its slowly getting worse!
