Stange Noise from back wheel drivers side.

Basically sounds like the wheel is hitting something when i go over a bump but i have looked and everything looks ok, i was thinking maybe the suspension might be fucked, anyone any idea what i should look for when i jack it up? its only a year old so still in warrenty. pissing me off whatever it is.

I had a lot of knocking coming from the rear. It just sounds like something tapping against the structure of the car. I took the car into the garage for a service and both rear shocks had gone.

thats kind of what it sounds like, but should the shocks go after only 13,000 miles?

Shocks (particularly rear ones) are prone to break easy on but you'd probably notice the poor ride anyway.

ride if anything feels a little more boncey but the noise doesn't happen all the time, am i right in thinking that i have different shocks from the standard 182 because i have a cup pack? or is it just springs that are stiffer

I've got the cup pack and mine went at around 15k I reported the problem but they done nothing, then i took it in for 24k service and they tried to make me pay £200 to get two new rear shocks. They are getting fitted tomorrow, the ride at the moment is auwful especially on the motorway, any road imperfections or pot holes and its very had to keep control of the car. The car wonders off sometimes, only for a couple of seconds but its very scary.

If i was you I'd take it into a garage and get it checked out.

its getting picked up the morn and going into get checked. they can't make you pay anything surely for 3 years on parts like that.
