Start of something new......

Hey up guys, I'm new to the site so be nice. Recently bought a clio 182 from a Renault garage. It has a full Renault service history, cup styling pack (sadly not the other one) and had only 7,400 miles on the clock, almost at 9,000 miles now but I've owned it 4 months now so keeping it nice and low. The car was owned by a 60 year old man who used it for the occassional weekend but it feels like it's never seen the good side of 3,000 rpm. Only down side to this is the paint needs a good restore as loooooads of swirls and fine scratches, any ideas?
Anyways, quick set of photos after a quick wash (no polish or wax though)

Here's the plans for 2010, hopefully done by trax.
-KTR Coilovers
-New wheels (not sure what yet though, ideas?)
-Full yozzasport exhaust

I can ask very nicely if need be Tom, lol. Any chance of a sponsored set of v-maxx coilovers Tom? How nice was that? Really needs suspension sorting out looking at the pics. Guppy's car is pretty special you're right but needs lowering first to make it look good

and you need to get rid of the seats! Bimarco all the way! Also new steering wheel! they will transform the car!

Coilovers are on their way and will hopefully be getting them fitted very soon, can't wait for this to happen. Also opted for the solid top mounts too. Only two things left for 2010.
I'll take some before and after pictures.

I've had a quick peek at the 182 on anthracite 2118s and I got to say I prefer guppy's on the White ones by a long way.

wow! typical of an old person to be honest to be too tight to get the handling pack!
I'd keep it stock and put some cup pack wheels, hubs and suspension on it!

Get yourself in the detailing section and have a read, have a look at some of the work done by detailers on here, find one of them thats local and get them to polish away!

Black gold looks beautiful when polished to a mirror finish, find a sunny day and the car changes colour!

I thought my '05 plate with 20k was low mileage. 9k though, you still need to run it in

White 2118s look lush, do it!

White 2118s are the future in my eyes although I am tempted by some five spoke 172 wheels and get them done gloss black, looks pretty sweet.

Finally got sorted out with some pics now I've got my KTR coilovers on

Looks loads better and handles like a dream, haven't got any of the top mounts but they're the same as the ones on the website only black, all I got to do now is try sort out an exhaust and wheels, really have NO idea what wheels to get though.

Got these coilovers on my 182 aswell, slightly lower though. Mate i would either get the anthracite of ones that you have on now or 2118's in anthracite!

Prob go for a yozza exhaust, depends how loud you want it?

Silvatec bulbs for indicators too!

Yeah I've got the silvatec bulbs but they just need fitting, got the rears in already though. Going off 2118s though because every bugger seems to be getting them, there's a group buy for crying out loud, what's up with that? Lol
I'm going yozza unless they can do my custom idea but I'm keeping that under wraps for now :evil:

I've finally got fed up of all the fine scratches and swirls left by the previous owner that I'm looking into paint correction now to solve it as it really annoys me, don't like having scratches like these, would give it ago myself with megs scratch x but they're literally everywhere unless anyone has any ideas?

Got some new wheels on the car, Rota Slipstreams from RareRims fitted with Hankook RS-2s. Went with the 15"x7" ones and only weigh about 10kg each with the tyres

I doubt I'll get bored of them, seriously changed the characteristics of the handling and feels a lot quicker to accelerate etc. Seen your exhaust videos and I do like it with a decat! More so with itbs but that's a different matter for the future, lol
