starter motor query

i hope this is the correct section... im looking to replace my starter motor as my car isnt starting, im going to look through the forum tonight to try and find a cheaper fix but im ordring the starter motor just incase as i need the car running asap.

i have a 2003 1.2 16v clio dynamique, is this the right starter motor?

Forgot to mention that when I was driving to work on saturday morning, my rev counter wasnt working... my mates dad has said that my alternator is on its way out... he'd be happy to help me replace it, is it a big job?

Yes a bad earth will cause it to not start

earth connection on the starter motor was covered in s**t, cheers lads
