Starting mk2 172 after long trip/hot engine

Starting my car after a long/or fast journey after popping in a shop quickly often finds me listening to the engine turning over and over instead of instant starting (like when cold)

is this normal/what is it down to?

dunno but when hot mine takes a little longer to start.

Mine's always a cow to try & restart a few mins after turning it off... leave it for 10 mins and she purr's into life with no problems..

ye mines same normally better if u turn it till all lights come on then try

but odd time it wont start, i spoke to fred about it before seems to be common
