Starting problem 182, fuse 21?? Immobiliser problem?

  Clio 182 2004
Hello

first post and I wonder if anyone can help me.

I have a clio 182 that won't start. I have had it in with a specialist in witham, Essex and they diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse (I believe orange 21?). A few days later the problem has happened again and I can't pass the immobiliser when trying to start the car. I have booked it back in but would rather diagnose the problem myself then spending lots of money.

Anyone one have any ideas?

Many thanks

Louis

Any modifications or additional electrical consumers in the car?

What I am trying to work out is if something is taking power from a circuit it's not rated for and that is what maybe causing F21 to pop. Unfortunately I am not in the workshop at the minute so I don't have access to any of my information but from memory F21 powers a few things inside the cabin space so it may be prudent to check these out before trashing the UCH although it is not to be ruled out entirely yet either.

At present, what rating fuse do you have in F21?

Mick
