starting problem - turning no spark

Car  80MPG BEEZA
right moving swiftly on with this, i've changed plugs (bosh super 4's), then changed coil pack and now just changed leads for magnecor 8.5mm ones,

only every so often it was 3 weeks since it happened then again today kpet turning over but it just wouldnt spark, did the same 3 weeks ago before i changed leads stopped at petrol station, filled up, wouldnt start, try to bump but failed, got in and it started! arrghh nightmare

its a 1.2 dynamique to 172

never used to have bother just past few months really i can sometimes get in and sense its going to do it!

Check the immobilser is working correctly, ie the light goes out when the engine cranks....

yup as ive had immobilser issues before and it only allows the car to turn so many times before stopping the key, when this happens it just keeps churning and churning

nope when the codes dont match up or it doesnt read it - it turns so many times then goes - grrr and you have to turn the key again for it to turn, this just keeps turning seems like the engine is getting to much or little petrol, hence when its happened we've tried to bump it on 2 occasions no joy, got back in and turns over

i have the same problem. it mostly happens when ive been in the car for ages or the cars been unlocked for ages i have a 1.4i Dynamique +

Under the bonnet in the electrical box behind the battery, yellow relay, get someone to turn the ign while you hold it, you should feel it click on.
If it dont its broke !

Can you hear the fuel pump kicking in when you turn the ignition on? Little whine from the back lasts about 2 sec's?

It doesn't need the battery for the immobilser to work, only the plip for the central locking needs it.

Without reading all the above, change the TDC sensor.
Very common problem on all varients of Renaults.
