starting problem

went to start my car saturday night and the bloody thing wouldnt
the key turned fully but it just wouldnt fire, checked the battery etc all seemed to be working fine.
decided to try it one last time before calling the rac out - nothing,however i left my key in position asif it had started the car and all of a sudden after around 10 seconds like that it started and has been fine ever since , anyone know whatthe problem could be

I have not had my clio long (bout a month) and had it fail to start 6 or 7 times, im hoping to trace the fault while its still under the three months used car warranty.

What car is it the starter usually a good place to try did youy try bump starting it? Also the TDc sensor is a comoon fault but if the starter doesn't spin than thats probebly at fault.

Earth strap or earthing wire from battery to chassis
Starter motor

If it was turning over and not firing up it'll be your fuel sender unit under the rear bench.

unplug the black plug with 3 wires hanging out of it, clean the terminals and re-fit it and try again

its started with no problems ever since tho
