starting problem!

When starting my car up,as soon as it starts i get a little cracking noise..like when you start a car on some car u car still turn the key when started and make that horrible noise...think its the starter motor!...its just started to do this for the past 2 weeks...anyone help

Could be the starter motor not disengaging quickly enough? But that's something you'd expect on the 10yr old car- not a 182....
