starting problems on when hot

hey peeps my girlfriend has a p reg 1.2 clio, when the car is cold it starts no problems but after its had a run and say ten minutes after she trys to start it it doesnt want to tick over, the starter motor sounds fine so i changed the spark plugs, it made it a little bit better but still the same problem anyone have any ideas?

does it turn over? does it just fail to fire up? what does it do?
