Hi im new to this forum =) i have a clio 1.2 8v expression i tried to start the vehicle the other day and as i turned the key it did nothing ! no knock or tick just did nothing.It had a new battery 6 month ago =/ i managed to jump start it and it is running no problem, then it started working then the day after it stopped working! its annoying and confusing,I took it too my local garage after jump starting it then when i went to show him it started working again ! he said he needs to see it not working to diagnose it..... Any ideas? any help would be much appreciated =)

sounds like a crap battery not holding juice.
where did u get battery from are you getting 12v across it??

I'm just annoyed because i bought it a week ago i know a lot of you will be annoyed at this comment but i have had 2 French cars before and they were dreadful but i bought a Clio to give it another go and i hope its not a money pit ! i dont have thousands to spend on cars i payed £675 for it its a 2001 Clio expression 1.2 8v in pretty good condition for age ! did i get robbed ? i do love driving the car thow it drives spot on for a 700quid motor =)

Oh dear,
you bought a clio its french, its gonna have problems.
get the battery tested if its not that then start at small things,
check your relays in the engine bay fuse box
earth straps loose/broken
alternator
starter motor
hopefullly its just ur battery mate, i had same thing few weeks ago wouldnt start not even ticking, wouldnt jump start only bump start.
new batttery and was fixed.
i got a bosch one as better quality than the halfords ones.
you bought a clio its french, its gonna have problems.
