STD 182 alarm

Not sure whether im using it correctly, but it seems to do different things everytime i lock or unlock the doors.

Sometimes but not always, when the car has been used for a while upon locking the indicators flash a couple of times and i get a loud beep i think 3 times, but it hardly ever does this, most of the time it just flashes the indicators and doesnt make the noise. Which is it supposed to do?

Also the alarm goes off every now and again when i open the door for some reason , which i solve by putting the key in the ignition.

anyone had similar problems?

Its not supposed to make the noise.

I find it only happens if i try locking the doors to quickly. ie, shutting the door,and pressing the button straight away. If i leave it a few seconds its fine.



The only other time i get bleeping is if the door/boot/bonnet isnt closed properly.

When opening your doors give the car 2 seconds to disable the alarm. This is why it is going off as you open door!

Mine beeps three times when locking, its related to the activation of the immobilser, see link above.
