Stealth Exhaust Choices

Hi guys what are the options for stealth 172 exhausts and how do they compare?

I think your only options are k-tec or Btb mate in stealth systems.

I personally opted for the Btb and its fapping awesome imo! Not loud at all in my stripped out cup, but gives off a nice note. Mines decatted as well and it's more than acceptable on long journeys.
Only downside to it is the cost I suppose, but the build quality more than stands up for the outlay.

The k-tec system has options for if you want a centre silencer or if you want noise I think. Don't quote me on that though, it may only be the recessed ones that you have that option. A lot of people say they are droney though, but I have no experience of this exhaust system.

I have a Piper stealth 2.5" cat back, it's loud as hell and droney on the motorway, i've been told by quite a few people they can hear me coming from two streets away, but on the plus side it sounds good and is bomb proof in terms of build quality.

Yeah want something quiet ish, I did have the stealth Yozza(quiet one) but it came to bits inside rear silencer so went back to standard

Is there such a thing as a quiet Yozza? Everyone i've heard was easily twice as loud as my Piper.

Tbh mine probably just seems louder than it actually is because I don't have any rear seats or carpets.

The rear silencers can be repacked I believe. I know that's true of the race system so I'd assume the same for the stealth. If you've still got it, then it might be worth having a word with Fred

I have the Ktec stealth with center silencer and cat still in place and its fine up to 80mph then after that it is boomy. It's quite a heavy system too.

Perfect for daily driving if your not doing any big long roads.

I have ktec single box stealth with a de-cat.

Lucky for me my ph1 is only a toy, don't think I could live with it day to day.

However when it's at 7500 rpm it's bloody epic, 70 mph on the motorway.

Not so great.

Long story, I bought it s/h although essentially new off here so no warranty. The non race systems aren't repackable so only way to get in is to cut them open.

The stealth Piper exhaust I had with central silencer was really good quality and had a nice note to it.

The main problem I had with it was the kids complained it was too noisy in the back, although it wasn't too bad in the front or from outside.
Stealth systems tend to send soundwaves towards the road, which then refelect back up to the car, if you have a system with a rear exit this won't happen as much.

I've got the K-tec single box & it is loud! Mate of mine says I should have gone for the quieter middle bit but I'm like naa, I love it, makes his Miltek exhaust 3 times the price sound standard! ha

You could just buy a new back box for fifty quid so you can drive it while you're researching decent stainless systems.
